Security operational consultant

Mission Overview:

Keystone Solutions is seeking an expert-level Security Operational Consultant to deliver a consultancy mission for our client in the financial domain. As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will be embedded with the client to strengthen and operate their security operations capabilities while collaborating closely with their security, risk, and technology stakeholders.

Consultancy Model: Working With Our Client Through Keystone Solutions

This role is delivered under Keystone Solutions consultancy model. You will work on-site or in a hybrid setup at the client location as a Keystone Solutions consultant, integrating with the clients teams (CISO office, SOC, IT operations, risk/compliance) while being supported by Keystones community of experts, methods, and accelerators. You will apply Keystone Solutions consulting practices to ensure measurable outcomes and sustainable capability transfer for the client.

Key Responsibilities at the Client Site

• Execute day-to-day security operations for the client, ensuring effective prevention, detection, response, and recovery across the environment.
• Operate SOC processes, including alert triage, incident handling, use case lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of runbooks and playbooks.
• Engineer and tune detection content across SIEM, EDR, SOAR, NDR, and email security platforms to reduce noise and improve true-positive rates.
• Drive incident response end-to-end: scoping, containment, eradication, recovery, root-cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and lessons learned.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and integrate actionable threat intelligence into detection logic and response processes.
• Orchestrate vulnerability and exposure management with IT/DevOps: prioritization, remediation tracking, and risk-based exception handling.
• Collaborate with identity and access teams to strengthen privileged access, MFA enforcement, and least-privilege policies.

Required Experience and Skills

• Experience as a Security Operational Consultant or equivalent, with a strong track record executing SOC and incident response initiatives.
• Expertise with security operations tooling, including SIEM, EDR, SOAR, NDR, email security, and log management.
• Proficiency across the incident response lifecycle, including forensic coordination, evidence handling practices, and post-incident improvements.
• Strong grasp of detection engineering, use case lifecycle, and threat hunting methodologies.
• Proven capability to operate in client-facing environments, building trust and delivering measurable outcomes.

Highly Valued Experience

• Working knowledge of cloud and hybrid environments (for example security operations across AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with regulatory and audit frameworks relevant to financial services and their practical operationalization.
• Relevant security certifications (for example CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GCIH, GCIA, GMON, GCFA) are a plus.
